In a fully equipped reconditioning facility the Lathe Machine should be used directly when the scaives come from the polishers, to lathe the polishing surface. (only for Cast-Iron scaives, not DIS) Subsequently the scouring machine will need less time (and less thickness of the scouring weel) in order to smoothen all the unflatness of the used scaife. The lathing is done by a tungsten knife which can also be ordered from us.
