The Carving Machine is only needed for the cast iron scaives, not DIS. It will enable the scaife reconditioner to get grooves on the polishing surface. This machine can be ordered with or without timer, in order to start the machine without any attention needed. The grooves are made with a carving stick (SiC) that makes a "to and fro" movement to get the required carving grooves. We supply 4 types of carving stick's in order to get the best result. For Normal (hard) we have 2 grain sizes being: n°80 (small grain) and n°60 (big grain). For the USA600TSS (soft) we also have n°80 and n°60.
